John 16:19-33A Little WhileFor "a little while" we won't see Him. But in "a little while" we will. The world will rejoice while things look grim. But your saddened heart, with joy He'll fill. While giving birth, a woman feels pain. But to the joy of new life, that pain can't compare. Yes, in this life you'll sorrow and strain. But upon His return, your heart He'll repair. The joy He'll bring, no one can take. You'll receive all that you ask in our Savior's name. A joy filled heart, in you He'll make. You'll receive the requests you've yet to frame. Many parables we have been given. But soon He'll speak as plain as day. He'll not pray for us to the Father, it's written. "Father Himself loves you, for you believe what I say." He came from the Father down to this earth. For a little while only, before going back. In His speach, the disciples could see much worth. He knew all things; No knowledge did lack. By this, they knew that He came from above. "Do you now believe?", our Savior asked. "Behold, a time comes I must tell you of. You'll all be scattered, but you must hold fast." "Many shall leave Me; Against me take stance. Yet, the Father is with Me, whose love does not cease. I tell you these things well in advance. That no matter what happens, in Me You'll find peace." "In this world, it is certain, you will have trouble. No matter what comes, don't give up, as have some. While sorrows don't cease and may seem to double, Be of good cheer! For this world I've overcome." |
