Genesis 11:10-12:9

From Shem to Abram, nine generations in all. To a far away land, Abram God called. "Leave your father's house and you will see, Such a great blessing you shall be. Those who bless you will themselves be blessed. But curses shall come to those who oppress. All nations shall be blessed through you." For to God's word, Abram stood true. Abram, Sarai, and Lot went to a new land. To Canaan at the Lord's command. To Abram's descendants God promised this land. A blessing from God's very hand.
