Genesis 6-8

Far and wide, here and there, across the land men did multiply. Beautiful daughters were in great supply. The sons of God beheld the daughters of man. They took many wives, which wasn't God's plan. Said God "I can't strive with man for always. To one hundred and twenty I'll limit their days." There were giants of men alive at that time. Some to great renown did climb. Yet God saw great wickedness in man. Sorrow and regret in His heart began. Yehovah determined to destroy all creation. Every animal, every man regardless of station. Yet one man, Noah, found favor in God's eyes. For this righteous man, His plan God revised. Noah had three sons: Japheth, Ham, and Shem. God would send a great flood, yet He would save them. "Noah", said God, "you shall build a great boat. Build it just as I say and in safety you'll float." "I will send a great flood, all the earth to destroy. But you and your household, I'll save, so take joy." "Your wife and your sons and their wives shall come. Come into the boat, I'll protect every one." "Of all living things, bring two of each kind. Also, some of all food, be sure to find." "As for the clean animals, now I tell you, Add not just one pair, but seven to your crew." This righteous man Noah, followed every command. They safely boarded the ark, protected by God's hand. Two by two, they entered the ark. On a great journey they were to embark. All flesh on the earth would come to an end. Yet from this ark, a remnant would ascend. The heavens were opened; much water did fall. Forty days and forty nights of rain in all. The waters increased rising up as from fountains. The whole earth was covered, yes even the mountains. Such waters do not quickly fade. For one hundred and fifty days they stayed. But God remembered Noah and those with him. Of them none had been harmed, not even a limb. God sent a wind over the earth far and wide. The waters then from the earth did subside. The windows of heaven, from which the waters came, And the fountains of the deep, were then restrained. In the seventh month, on the seventeenth day, The ark rested on the mountains and there it did stay. Until the tenth month, waters continued to recede. On the first of the month, mountain tops could be seen. After forty days, a raven was sent out. The raven didn't return, it just flew all about. Noah he then sent out a dove. To see if all earth still had waters above. The dove flew back, finding no place to rest. Noah waited a week then repeated this test. She returned that evening, an olive leaf she bore. Noah, he then waited seven days more. This time, the dove, return she did not. For the whole earth had now dried up quite a lot. In the six hundred first year, on the very first day, Noah uncovered the ark. The waters, they had faded away. On day twenty-seven of month number two, "Depart now, My son, take your family with you". "Bring each living creature, take every one out. Be fruitful and multiply and spread all about." So out from the ark, they all departed. Sacrifices to God Noah offered, wholehearted. Yahovah then said in His heart, "Such destruction I'll not again impart." "As long the whole earth remains, Summer, winter, day and night, all these things I will sustain."
