God's Law is Love

Many today seem to say that God's law's been done away. Which of God's laws, may I ask, Do you wish from your life to cast? Is there something or someone You'd place above the Holy One? When we put our Father above all others, He helps us love better our sisters and brothers. Do you wish to murder, steal or lie? Which of these laws will you not live by? Have you ever been cheated or betrayed? Think of the pain caused by those who've strayed. Is it God's Sabbath you don't wish to keep? A time to rest from the stress of your week? Each of God's laws was given in love. A gift from our Father up above. Protection from hurting ourselves and others. The law is FOR us, my sisters and brothers! Why would our Father, so loving and kind, Do away with laws given with His love in mind? God's laws, my friends, were given FOR us! From the God of love, in Him put your trust! Yes. It's true. We all fall short. But our failures do not the law abort. Our Savior laid down His life for all. He'll lift us up each time we fall. Yet, forgiveness is not license to continue in sin. Don't you see that God's law's a reflection of Him? The God of love gave us laws of love! They teach us the character of our Father above! Salvation's a gift we in no ways earn. Yet the more we know Him, the more His ways we'll yearn! Christ's time on earth, He spent it teaching. God's law to the ends of the earth should be reaching. Even after He died and after He'd risen, His people He gave to them a commission. "Teach all nations to observe all things." "You're freed from the law" the deceiver sings. God's law is freedom FROM sin, not TO sin! Reject the lies and His ways walk you in! There's one path that leads away from strife. God's law is love. God's law is life!
