Genesis 1-2:3 | The Creation in Rhyme | Day 1
All was darkness, with no light.
God said, "Let there be" and it was bright.
Thus He divided day from night.

There were waters above and waters below.

Next, from the dust of the earth, created He man.
Into man, the breath of life God breathed.

Against our God the people rebelled.

We must keep our focus on the Holy One.
He told us ahead of many sorrows.
But, beyond that, many happy tomorrows.

"Such and Such COG" is the answer of which we're fond.
Why not leave out "Such and Such" and just say "Church of God"?

But in scripture I looked and the scripture has proved,

We seek out those who will accept us, "just the way we are".
"Why should I change who I am to reach someone else's bar?"
While true love loves in spite of weaknesses and flaws,
